Chocolate Mug Brownie

An easy to make brownie gone healthy.

After a few attempts, I present you with a healthy chocolate brownie mug! (And your non-health-crazed friends will like it too!)ย

Healthy Chocolate Brownie

Did I mention it’s dairy and gluten free?

Ingredients

2 Tbsp apple sauce

2 Tbsp almond milk (any type of milk works)

1/4 tsp vanilla extract

2 Tbsp cocoa powder

2 Tbsp sugar (I used “sugar in the raw”)

1 Tbsp truvia (or sugar)

pinch of salt

pinch of baking powder

1 Tbsp chia seeds (or sub another Tbsp oats)

1 tsp of flax (optional way to add some nutrients)

4 Tbsp oats (measure oats first, then grind in the food processor)

Directions

Mix the 3 liquid ingredients in a large mug. Then stir each dry ingredient in one at a time.

Brownie Batter

Microwave the mixture for 1-2 minutes, depending on microwave power.

Microwaved Brownie

Add sprinkles ๐Ÿ™‚

Enjoy the sugar high and the fact that this brownie is healthy!

The best part about this dessert is the ingredients. I used a recipe from Food.comย for the measurements but swapped healthier options, like applesauce instead of butter.
