A Quick Breakfast and Giveaway winner

Welcome to Monday! Hope everyone’s mother had an amazing Mother’s Day.

I had a busy weekend so when I got home on Sunday, I decided to prepare an easy and healthy breakfast to help streamline my Monday morning.

I’ve seen several bloggers make overnight oats in an almost empty peanut butter jar and decided to try it out. It’s so easy and you can make enough breakfast to have for a few days.

I added oats, chia seeds, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and almond milk to the pb. I made sure to add extra almond milk to allow for the chia seeds to expand. It was pretty liquidy but in the morning, it thickened and was good to go!

  1. *jumps up and down* YAAAY! Just emailed you! Omg I am so excited.

  2. I haven’t tried the overnight oats thing yet, although all the ingredients in yours sound really good. I’m actually trying to make my first batch of chia pudding and hoping that it works out….I checked this morning and the seeds didn’t really seem to have expanded much. Hoping that changes by the time I get home from work!

  3. Love it! Oats in a jar are great!

  4. I LOVE overnight oats, but I’ve never tried them IN the jar…That’s a really good idea!

  5. I still haven’t tried the oats in a jar thing. I know everyone raves about it, but to me it just seems like too much work to dig into a deep jar with my spoon. Either way, oats are delicious.

    Happy Monday, girlie!

    Those oats look delicious!! 😀

  8. I love eating my oatmeal in a jar. Nothing was funnier than eating it while walking to the start line last week at the half marathon and a girl came up to me curious if I was eating an entire jar of peanut butter with a spoon lol…I like overnight oats but my favorite breakfast (and what I eat basically every morning) is cooked steel cut oats mixed with greek yogurt, berries and peanut butter. I like the consistency of the cooked steel cut oats over the overnight rolled oat.

  9. Yum! I tried over night outs one time and it was way too thick. I need to perfect my technique lol this looks great, thanks for sharing!

  12. I should probably try jumping on the overnight oats bandwagon, too. They sure seem to be quite popular!

I still have yet to make overnight oats in a jar, but I do love overnight oats in general. I just need to get some chia seeds! Preparing breakfast beforehand makes the next day so much easier!
