How do you do Thanksgiving?

Twas the day before Thanksgiving, when all through the house
Not a creature was eating, not even a mouse.

That may be a bit of an exaggeration, but when it comes to the biggest eating holiday of the year, what’s the best approach to take?

I resort to moderation. Here are some tips to fight the urge to eat and eat solely for pleasure:

  • Don’t skip meals

  • Drink lots of liquids like water and tea

  • Pamper yourself to distract your mind from overeating

  • Focus on loving and enjoying your company, because that’s what it’s all about

My approach is to indulge without going over board. After all, I need to be ready to rock and roll on black Friday!

    Good tips! I don’t typically go overboard on Thanksgiving – I’ve never really been able to eat until I feel uncomfortable (which is a very good thing, obviously haha). Enjoy your holiday!

    I try to eat normally. I have a big breakfast and filling lunch. Then I won’t go overboard at dinner. I also load up on turkey and veggies and then just have one bite of the things that I can’t live without (pumpkin pie and stuffing).

    I like to start the day with a good workout. Just eat the way I always do. There is no need to gorge yourself, there are always leftovers. πŸ˜€ Happy Thanksgiving!

  8. I usually just graze all day! I only had a small plate during what was “technically” dinner… but I just sort of snacked throughout the day πŸ˜‰ That way I never felt too full!
