A Marvelous Cleanse?

After a fun Thanksgiving holiday spent in West Virginia, it’s time to get back to work. Travels and fresh starts are most definitely causes for a Marvelous Monday.

Marvelous is celebrating Thanksgiving with loved ones.

Marvelous is grabbing tea with an old friend at The Greenbrier.

Marvelous is a delicious seafood feast at Legal Seafoods. The lobster was on point!

Marvelous is a cleanse. Okay, not so marvelous, but it’s a necessity every once in a while, right?

I’m doing the lemon water with cayenne pepper and maple syrup cleanse. I actually did this cleanse for 24 hours last year here. We’ll see how many days hours I last this time around. 😉

Have you tried the lemon water cleanse? What are your thoughts on liquid cleanses?

Never tried that one but I do like juice fasting/cleansing. Good luck!

I’ve never really done a liquid cleanse…I don’t think it would go to well for me though…I do much better with food – haha.

Oh man, let me know how that goes! I don’t know if I could do it while I’m working. I’d just become quite cranky but I have thought about it!

  4. I’ve not heard of that cleanse.

  5. Hah! That cleanse would make me CRANKY!!! I don’t do well without solid food 😉

  6. I did a juice cleanse once and it was NOT for me. I was the evil version of myself for 3 days and I definitely did not feel better afterwards but it sounds like this one works for you!

  7. I love the pic of you and your grandma:)

I really love this blog and the one before-think you able to really put into words about the wonderful weekend! I also love the pic of you & grandma! So happy you were able to see your high school friend, Ashley-that’s just darn cool! Keep up the great work!

  9. I’ve never heard of that cleanse but I don’t think I have the willpower in me. Maybe in the past, but now this girl needs solid real food or I’m a cranky and crabby girl. Nobody wants to see that happen! 😛

Haven’t heard of that cleanse – but i do think occasional juice cleanses CAN have a purpose – when you need a “kick start” back to healthy-habits-mode … As long as the cleanse doesnt make one so cranky, hungry & weak that it causes you to end up binging!

    Keep us posted!

I love your cupcake sweater! Where did you get it :D?

  12. I would like to eat everything from your seafood feast! And I’ve never tried a cleanse before, I’m not sure if I could keep it up. Good luck with yours 🙂

  13. […] yesterday’s cleanse, I lasted just shy of 24 hours before deciding to eat […]

  14. I have actually tried that cleanse and barely lasted a day (or maybe it was one day?) All I remember was that it was disgusting and actually made me dislike lemon water for several years. I believe a juice cleanse or smoothie cleanse could be a good thing but maybe for 3-5 days maximum. I’ve heard mixed reviews on the benefits of a cleanse (I’ve heard that our liver takes care of the things we think we are cleansing out of our system); however, I think it is a wonderful way to restart a healthy lifestyle after an indulgent weekend or time period 🙂
